According to recent reports, Netflix has cancelled its 30-day free trial offer in the US.
The streaming centre posted this information on its website earlier today.
“Free trials are not available, but you can still sign up and take advantage of all Netflix has to offer.” Reminding people that there are no contracts or cancellation fees, Netflix continues to say, “There are no contracts, no cancellation fees, and no commitments.
You have the freedom to change your plan or cancel online at any time if you decide Netflix isn’t for you.” the note read.
While the 30-day free trial may be canceled, customers can still watch select content without a subscription. Titles like “Bird Box” and pilot episodes of “Stranger Things” were posted on the site in August and are free.
A spokesperson for the company told Verge, “We’re looking at different marketing promotions in the US to attract new members.”
Disney Plus also offered free trials, when it launched in November of 2019. But discontinued that offer in June of 2020.
