Entertainer Erykah Badu has come under fire after sharing her opinion in the R. Kelly saga.

The singer was performing at a concert held at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago where she made it clear that she still has love for R Kelly and is praying for him.

According to Independent one concertgoer said Badu’s words were: “What if one of the people who were assaulted by R. Kelly becomes an offender? We gonna crucify them too?”

Badu has been silent on the R. Kelly matter for some time now and according to some reports she had even refused to give her take on the matter.

However, looking at Badu’s Instagram account one is inclined to believe that she broke her silence on the matter prior to the concert. Four days ago Badu posted a picture with an insightful caption that read:

“Having Eyes that can see all points of view is a blessing … and a curse in the court of public opinion. – a mother I C on both sides like Chanel.”

It became clear that her words were likely about Kelly when she responded to a follower’s comment. “I loved you until I realised you supported a rapist and peadophile as your brother,” the comment said.

Badu replied: “Correction, love has little to do with supporting others’ bad choices. Love is wisdom.”

She has since been trending on Twitter with users dragging her for supporting Kelly.
