The following are the ways to save your marriage.
Don’t bring your stressful work life back home
When you come home and you do not talk to the people you meet there, even with just a small greeting before you climb up and shut yourself in the bedroom or sit on your favorite couch; what does that communicate? You are mad.
They might have not done something but they will think they have and if they are sure they have done nothing then they will excuse themselves as well from your presence. No matter what is going on with your work or business or someone that is not in your home; just leave it behind and do not bring it to your house. It not only puts your spouse on edge but if you have children, them as well. Do this for a couple of months and that is how you end up with a family that does not want to interact with you.
Play a positive part in making your marriage a safe haven.
Don’t be too selfish by wanting more alone time for yourself and less of their company
Some people take that alone time too far. You left for work in the morning, you get home very late and if you get home early, you shut yourself in a room until dinner time before going to bed. If you did not want a spouse, why did you choose to be with one? You should have exhausted ll the alone time you wanted and not be with someone only to make them feel unwanted.
Granted, there is such a thing as personal space but make some time as well to talk and be with your spouse. Don’t make them feel like a tool because that is how it starts.
Be open to the idea that maybe if things have gotten to this bad place you might have to make drastic changes
In your schedule, the way you approach them, the way you communicate and the way you express what you want. You see a relationship where one partner walks out when the other comes in, they have had communication issues for a while. If you get too aggressive someone will not want to talk but wait for you to finish for them to leave. If they spend less time with you and have created an environment where you are not needed; it is because you were at some point too busy for them.
Now the one time you are around, you want them to be available. Well, they are not.
