Will President Uhuru Kenyatta lose to Raila Odinga in the 2017 elections? A Jubilee Coalition figure seems to think so.
The KANU Secretary General Nick Salat who has attracted ire from his party for supporting CORD initiatives in recent times says that Raila has what it takes to see off Uhuru.
He says that the Jubilee Presidency has been a negative to the country.
” The Jubilee Presidency has been a let-down to Kenyans and must be removed and will by Raila Odinga,” Salat says.
He says that he dares those who want to kick him out of KANU to do so, saying he is going nowhere.
” We have been in KANU longer than the lives of some of those calling for me to leave the party. I am going nowhere,” he added.
Salat says that he working with CORD leader Raila does not mean that he is out of KANU and that the party has room for differing opinions.
” This is a democracy. We supported Uhuru in 2013. Now the time is to look elsewhere,” he added.
Salat attended the CORD rally in Nairobi instead of the president’s rally in Nakuru the same day.
