I’m Ready To Quit CORD, Governor Alfred Mutua Says

Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua says that he is ready to quit the CORD coalition and that he will support President Uhuru Kenyatta come the 2017 elections.

Mutua says that threats to kick him out of the Wiper Democratic Party by some sections of leaders would bear no fruit as he already has another home.

” There is nothing to worry about. I already have a new home,” he said.

Mutua is among a number of leaders from the Ukambani region who have in recent months openly supported the ruling Jubilee Coalition.

And just Wednesday, they were open in their remarks to the opposition that they are moving to government.

” We are tired of underdevelopment for our people. We want change and change is Jubilee,” Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambo said.

They say that they are braced for a serious attack from what they refer to as the old guard in the coming months but say that they are ready for the backlash.
