A man who was attacked by a lion in Nairobi says he has been harassed by the Kenya Wildlife Service KWS.
According to Capital News, Michael Odori, 63 says he has been ill treated by the Service two weeks after his attack by a lion on Mombasa Road.
Odori says that he was released from hospital prematurely before the due date; three days earlier. KWS were worried about his bill accumulation, he says.
” I was in pain and weak but my financial capacity wouldn’t allow me to stay at the hospital,” Michael Odori, 63 revealed to Capital FM News this week.
Odori says that he tried to amend the decision, but to no avail.
He says that the KWS has ceased to help him.
He resides several kilometres from the hospital and has to use public means of transport accompanied by his son despite his fragile condition. It is expensive. He was promised by KWS that his welfare would be catered for, but from the day of discharge, he has seen no one offer.
” I feel abandoned and disappointed,” he complained in the presence of his family.
According to the Daily Nation, the man was attacked by the lion after it escaped the close by Nairobi National Park.
