Nairobi – Journalists have been beaten and injured by bodyguards belonging to Pastor James Ng’ang’a at his Karen home as they were covering the burglary that took place Thursday night.
The burglary that took place at Ng’ang’a’s home, saw valuables worth KES 500,000 stolen.
It is as yet not clear if there was someone in the house.
On arrival at the residence however, journalists met stiff opposition from the bodyguards, who proceeded to beat up some, attached to the Kenya Television Network KTN.
News24’s own journalists were also threatened with the beating of their lives if they tried to take photos of the residence.
” We will finish you. Why are you trying to kill the good man. We will act on you,” the guards told us.
Ng’ang’a is in the limelight currently for an incident in which he allegedly killed a woman in Limuru thanks to dangerous driving.
He has been charged in a Limuru court and released on a KES 1 million bond, or a cash bail of KES 500,000.
