Keke Palmer Accuses Ex-boyfriend Darius Jackson of Physically Attacking Her Multiple Times

According to PEOPLE, actress Keke Palmer filed for a domestic violence restraining order against her ex-boyfriend Darius Jackson on Thursday, stating that he physically assaulted her on many occasions. In addition, the 30-year-old is requesting full custody of their 8-month-old baby.

The Akeelah and the Bee actress highlighted instances of Jackson reportedly being emotionally and physically abusive in paperwork filed in a Los Angeles court, alleging that it occurred over a two-year period.

She cited an incident on Sunday, claiming that, “Darius trespassed into my home without my knowledge or consent, threatened me, then physically attacked me — lunging for my neck, striking me, throwing me over the couch, and stealing my phone when I told him I was going to call the police.”

Palmer allegedly also included screenshots of what appeared to be security footage of a lady being hit by a male. She claimed Jackson came to her house to take their son to a football game. Their child, however, was not present because Palmer’s sister had taken the baby on a family visit.

Palmer claimed they argued before Jackson “knocked me backwards over the couch, stole my phone from my hands, and then ran out of the house.” Everything that happened, according to Palmer, was “captured by my home security camera, which will be played for the Court at the time of the hearing.”

Palmer accused Jackson of nearly hitting her with his car after she followed him outside to retrieve her phone, according to PEOPLE.

The 30-year-old cited another incident, alleging that “home security footage [from] February 13, 2022” showed Jackson “body slammed me onto the stairs by my neck.” In another instance in April of last year, Palmer claimed Jackson became enraged after accusing her of flirting with a lady at a Santa Barbara restaurant. Palmer stated that she and Jackson left the venue early and returned to their hotel as a result.

Elsewhere in the filing, Palmer claimed there were “many instances of physical violence, including striking and grabbing me around the neck, descriptions of Darius destroying my personal property, including diaries and prescription eyeglasses, throwing my belongings into the street, throwing my car keys to prevent me from driving away, hitting my in front of our son, spewing profanities about me to our son, threatening to kill himself with a gun if I left him, harassment, and other physical and emotional abuse.”

Palmer accused Jackson of being manipulative, adding that he would “love bomb” her. “The abuse during our relationship was not just physical, but emotional and manipulative,” she claimed in the filing.

“Darius would ‘love bomb’ me and make me feel like I was the most important woman in the world, only to get extremely distant and cold over a perceived insult to him. If we were at a party or event, and I spoke with one person too long or looked at someone a ‘certain way’, he would storm off in a rage – telling me I was ‘slut’ and a ‘whore,’ accuse me of cheating on him, and that I did not love him. Darius had a way of gaslighting me to make me feel like I was doing something wrong even though I wasn’t.”

Palmer’s restraining order request comes after Jackson made headlines on X (previously Twitter) in July when he expressed his disgust with a revealing dress Palmer wore to Usher’s Las Vegas residency show.

“We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is,” the fitness instructor wrote in the since-deleted post. “This is my family & my representation. I have standards & morals to what I believe. I rest my case.”
