‘Jaye Lo’ Video: Nigerian Singer, Davido Unfollows Isreal DMW on IG After He Apologised on His Behalf

Davido has unfollowed Isreal ‘DMW’ Afeare on Instagram, only days after his logistics manager apologized to the Muslim community on his behalf.

Following the controversial song video of his newly signed artiste Logos Olori, the Afrobeats musician received considerable criticism.

In the video for the song ‘Jaye Lo,’ guys dressed in white Jalabiya can be seen dancing in front of a mosque.

Despite the fact that Davido removed the video on Monday, several Muslims sought a formal apology from the singer.

Some young people recently resorted to the streets of Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state, to express their anger with Davido, setting fire to a giant banner of the artist.

The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has also requested that the Department of State Services (DSS) investigate Davido.

Following the backlash, Israel apologized to the Muslim community on social media on Tuesday.

The film was merely for amusement purposes, according to the singer’s logistic manager, who apologized for “presenting it incorrectly.”

“Let me specially apologise to my Muslim brothers and sisters, on the video my oga posted, as a result of him wanting to lift up somebody, which is one of his hubbies,” the now-deleted Instagram post reads.

“It was purely an entertainment effort wrongly presented. Make una no vex. Love you all.”

Isreal, on the other hand, is still following Davido on the social media platform.

Wole Soyinka, the Nobel laureate, earlier asked the singer not to apologise over the controversial music video.
