Fan Reports Cardi B to Police over Mic-throwing Incident at Concert

A lady who said she was injured by a microphone thrown into the audience by Cardi B at a Las Vegas event has filed a “battery” police report.

In reaction, the US rapper hurled a microphone at a concertgoer who threw a drink at her while she was singing on stage on Saturday.

The incident occurred while the singer was singing ‘Bodak Yellow’ at Drai’s Beachclub in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.

The fan had raised a white, decorated cup and tossed liquid in the 30-year-old rapper’s direction.

After the liquid sprayed on her face and body, Cardi B quickly reacted by throwing her microphone at the fan.

Some officials swiftly intervened, escorting the concertgoer away from the stadium.

The accused victim reported being “struck by an item thrown from the stage,” according to Las Vegas police, a day after the event.

In a statement by the police, no arrests or citations have been issued.

“On July 30, 2023, an individual came into an LVMPD police station to report a battery,” the statement reads in part.

“According to the victim, she was attending an event on July 29, 2023, at a property located in the 3500 block of Las Vegas Boulevard. During a concert, she was struck by an item that was thrown from the stage.”

It’s unclear whether the woman who tossed the drink at Cardi B and the person who claimed to have been hit with the microphone are the same person.

Cardi B is the most recent performer to be hit on stage in recent months.

Bebe Rexha suffered a facial injury in June after a fan threw a phone at her during a concert in New York.

During her performance in Los Angeles, an irate fan smacked Ava Max, a US singer.
