Eugene Wamalwa is not welcome in Nairobi, a Jubilee MP says.
Dennis Waweru who is seeking to view for the Governor’s seat come the 2017 polls says that Wamalwa’s candidature in the city is not welcome as he is not invested in the city.
He stated that he knows the city and its political structure inside out and that he is suited best to solving the problems of city dwellers.
” These stories of those coming from other areas thinking they can win in Nairobi while we have lived and worked to improve the city all our lives cannot be allowed,” he stated in Nairobi.
Wamalwa has been mooted as a candidate for the Jubilee Coalition come 2017, to join a huge group of Jubilee politicians seeking to win the seat.
Among those is Waweru, Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko, Margaret Wanjiru the former Starehe MP, MP Johnstone Sakaja as well as former Devolution CS Anne Waiguru.
Waweru says he is the best man for the job.
” If there is one man best placed to deliver for Nairobians it is Waweru,” he said, stressing that he has the best agenda for the city.
The Jubilee candidate for the post will be known February 2017.
