Cape Town – An ex-cop alleged to have been part of shady dealings, including the stealing and selling of guns to gangsters at the Cape Flats, was on Wednesday granted bail.Former Colonel Chris Prinsloo appeared in the Bellville Magistrate’s Court where he was released on R20 000 bail.
Prinsloo has over 35 years of experience in the police force.
He faces 29 charges including murder, attempted murder, racketeering, fraud, corruption and theft.
He was arrested in January after being found in possession of 750 rounds of ammunition. Further police investigations resulted in more charges being laid against him.
He returns to court on September 11.
