Mauritania held their own until the ninetieth minute, when a single incident in the penalty area converted their finest moment into a nightmare come stoppage time.
The Stallions won Group D after Bertrand Traore took the penalty kick and converted it. On Monday night, Algeria and Angola were forced to settle for a one-all draw.
