Nairobi – With taxi wars in Nairobi at their highest, there is alarm raised over the whereabouts of a driver said to have been missing for a couple of days.
Peter Ng’ang’a, believed to be a driver who worked for the company has been reported missing, an incident which has brought fear and angst amongst other drivers.
According to family members, Ng’ang’a went missing Monday morning at around 10 AM.
He was driving a silver Nissan Lavester Registration number KCD 043R.
It is not yet clear what could be the reason for his going missing but Police are not taking the issue lightly.
” We have received a report about a missing taxi driver. We are tracking him but for the moment we cannot speculate,” Nairobi Police boss Japheth Koome told News24.
Just recently, Four men attacked a taxi driver working for Uber and torched his car in Nairobi, the latest incident of growing harassment against Uber drivers.
Two men have thus far been charged in court for causing or being seen to cause harm to Uber drivers and their vehicles.
