The second most richest man in the United States, Warren Buffet has set another personal record by donating $3.17 billion to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and four family charities.
This was possible as a result of increasing share prices in his companies.
Most of the Charity funds were donated to the Belinda & Gates foundation which focuses on malaria, Hiv and other infectious diseases.
The foundation also focuses on ending world poverty, improving the schools in the United states and other charity functions.
The billionaire also funded the charity organisations of his children- the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, the Sherwood Foundation and the NoVo Foundation — which are run by Howard, Susan and Peter Buffett, respectively.
