“With such values and principles, there is no doubt that as a country, we have set our sights towards creating a model society where every person has a decent quality of life,” said Kembi who is also Murang’a Senator.

He was speaking during graduation ceremony at Murang’a Teachers Training College.

“Democracy and participation of the people ensures that the contribution of every Kenyan is valued, while devolution ensures that national resources reach every corner of this country,” he added.

He noted that corruption has been a big problem in the country and it should not be tolerated adding that right measures should be employed to end the menace which was slowing down the country’s development.

He explained that Kenyans need to take part in the war against graft and not to leave the fight to government agencies only.

Kembi observed that in many cases, citizens take part in perpetrating corruption stating that Kenyans should play a part in eradicating graft instead of blaming government.
