Sheriff boycotts PDP BoT and also expanded reconciliation meeting

Abuja – Embattled previous National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff on Thursday boycotted the broadened reconciliatory conference mobilized by the event’s Board of Trustees (BoT) participants, report Peoples Daily.

All the contending parties to the leadership of the party were at a peace meeting except Sheriff.

Sheeriff was at the initial meeting of the BoT in the morning held at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja

BoT Chairman, Senator Walid Jibrin, according to New Telegraph said all parties were fully invited for the meeting.

He, however, assured that the former National Chairman would be reached by a special committee that will meet with him.

The meeting was attended by all the party’s major stakeholders including the Governors Forum, Ministers Forum, Nation Assembly forum, the concerned stakeholders’ forum and the Prof. Jerry Gana’s faction represented by Sen. Ibrahim Mantu.
