DP William Ruto owes President Uhuru Kenyatta a favour over his ICC acquittal and must thus commit to him for the 2017 elections, an MP has said.
Mukurweini MP Kabando Wa Kabando says that the fact that the President helped the DP escape charges at the ICC must be seen as a way of reconciling the two and ensuring that they are together for the 2017 elections.
He adds that the President and DP will form a formidable coalition if they come together again and will be hard to stop ahead of the 2017 elections.
” The two are the winning team. As long as they are together, Jubilee will win the 2017 elections,” he said.
He added that there had been serious voter registration to ensure that there are many voting come the polls.
” The Jubilee Party has registered people to vote and we will continue to register them. We also working with others and bringing more parties to JAP to form the strongest party for Uhuru’s re-election bid,” he added.
The two will launch their Presidential campaign April 16 in Nakuru.
