Senator Mike Sonko is lying to Kenyans, a Jubilee MP claims.
The MP, Dagoretti’s Dennis Waweru says that the announcement by Sonko that a hit squad is trying to kill him is a sign of cowardice and the sense that he will be defeated in the Nairobi Governor’s race come next year.
He says that Sonko is trying to buy public sympathy using the assassination plot.
The Senator has announced that a hit squad is after him and has asked Kenyans to pray for him bu Waweru does not buy it.
” Every Kenyan knows the type of security the Senator walks around with. He cannot now claim that he is under threat,” Waweru said.
He added that sideshows will not help Sonko win the Jubilee nomination since Kenyans had already decided who they would vote for.
” Kenyans have and will decide. Sideshows will not help,” he added.
Waweru and Sonko will battle four other nominees for the Jubilee ticket to seek a chance to take on Governor Evans Kidero come the 2017 elections.
