Kenya: Senator Mike Sonko Fight Embarrassing, Jubilee MP Says

he fist fight Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko was involved in with Governor Evans Kidero was embarrassing to the Jubilee Coalition, an MP has said.

Dagoretti MP Dennis Waweru says that the fist fight was an embarrassment to the Jubilee Coalition and that Sonko was losing his marbles in regards to his position in the Nairobi Gubernatorial race.

Waweru insists that he and not Sonko is the best candidate for the chance to face off with Kidero in elections next year and says that the fist fight was an indication that Sonko was losing it.

” If you have an opponent, do you go insulting him or do you ask him questions that will show his incompetence,” Waweru posed to News24.

He added that Sonko knew he was struggling to maintain his charge towards the Jubilee race for the seat.

” The reality is that Sonko knows he is not the best candidate and that during nominations he will be shown out,” he added.

Waweru continued though that the clamour to get Kidero out of County Hall was the most important thing.

” The issue is to get Kidero out of County Hall. That is what we are all looking at,” he added.

Sonko and Waweru are both seeking the Jubilee ticket to face off with Kidero come the 2017 elections.
