Patients at Msambweni sub-County hospital in Kwale County are sharing wards with the dead.
This is because the hospital takes up to three days to remove bodies of patients who succumb to illnesses.
Speaking to People Daily, the hospital superintendent however said the practice has been influenced by local culture that doesn’t encourage preservation of bodies in morgues.
