Oliseh To Appear Before House Of Reps On Thursday

Former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh is to appear before the sports committee of Nigeria’s House of Representatives on Thursday to state his own side of his shock resignation.

Oliseh resigned from his job few weeks to Nigeria’s crucial 2017 AFCON qualifier against Egypt, citing lack of support from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), as well as several violations of the contract he signed in July 2015.

He is expected to also explain issues behind the widely publicized non-payment of players and coaches’ bonuses and allowances as well as his claim to have fed the players while camping in South Africa ahead of the 2016 CHAN tournament where Nigeria crashed out in the group stage.

NFF officials are said to be unhappy with Oliseh’s appearance before the country’s law makers, saying it is a major distraction as they are preparing to face Egypt later this month.
