The ODM Nairobi branch chairman, George Aladwa, was on Sunday caught hurling disgraceful insults at Mathare MP Stephen Kariuki and his mother BishopMargaret Wanjiru.
Speaking in Mathare during a political rally, Aladwa expressed his anger over Mr Kariuki’s decision to decamp to the Jubilee Party after ascending to power on an ODM ticket.
An enraged Aladwa spewed unprintable abuses directed to Kariuki, demanding that he resigns from his current position that he acquired through the Opposition in 2013.
The former Mayor also abused Bishop Wanjiru who abandoned the Opposition for the then Jubilee Coalition after Governor Evans Kidero defeated her in the 2013 Party nominations.
Mr Aladwa, who passionately praised the Orange party, warned Jubilee leaders and those who had defected against disrespecting ODM leader Raila Odinga.
“Mtu yeyote hata heshimu Raila Amollo Odinga hata sisi hatutamheshimu. Kama hakuna heshimatutavunja heshima (Anyone who will not respect Raila Amollo Odinga, we will also not respect them. If there is no respect we will also break it),” Aladwa said.
He noted that ODM was rallying behind Governor Kidero for the 2017 Nairobi Gubernatorial race.
Aladwa emphatically stated that every leader in ODM must support Mr Odinga day and night, failure to which they would be sent home.
The ODM Nairobi branch chairman is not new to controversy. Last year while addressing a charged crowd in Kibera, Aladwa was caught on tape saying people would have to die for CORD leader Raila Odinga to become president in 2017.
