Nigeria: Ondo State Commissioner Resigns Over Governorship Ambition

The Ondo State Commissioner for Environment, Sola Ebiseni has resigned his appointment as a cabinet member in the administration of Governor Olusegun Mimiko, reports NewsDay.

Ebisen, a lawyer, resigned his appointment to concentrate on his governorship ambition.

He plans to contest the November 26 governorship election under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The party is yet to fix a date for its governorship primary election.

Ebiseni who is from Ilaje land in the Southern Senatorial District of the state thanked Mimiko for giving him the opportunity to serve the state in the last six years as a commissioner.

With the development, two other aspiring Commissioners, Eyitayo Jegede(SAN) the Attorney-General& Commissioner for Justice and his counterpart in the Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs ,Bamiduro Dada would join soon in accordance with the rule.
