In Nigeria; Boko Haram Raids Yobe Town In Search Of Food

Damaturu – Suspected Boko Haram militants have released a struck on Kanamma community of Yobe State.

The attack is coming a day into the Islamic month of Ramadan.

Residents according to Channels TV said the insurgents stormed the town on Tuesday at about 9pm, shooting sporadically.

The attackers stormed the town on four motorcycles, each carrying three armed men.

This was before attacking the Divisional Police Station in the area and some shops in the town.

According to them, the insurgents were on rampage in search of food and consumed beverages among other eatables in the shops.

The  militants burgled soft drinks shops and loaded them onto two vehicles they seized from security operatives

Police Public Relation Officer, ASP Toyin Gbadegesin, who confirmed the attack, said three security men were injured during the encounter while two were still missing.
