ANC leader, Musalia Mudavadi has asked President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga to drop their presidential bids and back him in the upcoming Presidential election.
Mudavadi, who accused both the government and opposition of polarizing the country, said he was the safest bid for Kenya.
He further observed that he had supported the two leaders in the past, and thus it was time for them to return the favour, The Star reports.
However, further reports indicate that Mudavadi is willing to support CORD co-Principal, Moses Wetang’ula if he wins the nomination for next year’s presidential poll.
Wetang’ula has already launched his presidential bid, threatening to split the opposition coalition as the other two principals also expressed interest in running for the Presidency.
