Dawn Dickson, a well-known entrepreneur and investor, has migrated to Ghana and is spearheading an innovative scheme to aid expats in purchasing property and building homes in Asebu Pan African Village in Ghana’s Central Region.
According to Black News, Dickson has already helped more than 30 people obtain plots in this bustling area, boosting multicultural understanding and community growth. Dickson’s purpose is to build bridges between Black Americans and Africans, as well as to foster a sense of belonging.
“I moved to Ghana to explore new opportunities and be a bridge for those who want to make that leap towards living and investing in Africa but don’t know where to start. I’ve always wanted to pursue a career in real estate but never made the time…until now,” she said on her YouTube page.
With its breathtaking surroundings and rich cultural past, the Asebu Pan African Village provides diasporans with an ideal setting to settle down and develop a vibrant community. According to Ghana Web, the Asebu ruler Otatakyi Dr. Amanfi VII set aside 5,000 acres of land in 2019 for Africans in the diaspora to commemorate the “Year of Return.” More than 600 people have purchased land in the rapidly expanding neighborhood. Individuals have benefited immensely from Dickson’s assistance and understanding in navigating the land buying procedure and attaining their dream of having a home.
As part of her persistent commitment to community empowerment, Dickson recently launched an exciting raffle to raise funds for the Asebu Pan African Village. Participants can apply to win a free plot of land worth $2,500 by paying $25 per ticket or $75 for four tickets through July, with all administrative costs covered. This offer not only allows someone to buy a piece of land, but it also directly helps the Village’s expansion and improvement.
