A man has been charged with murder in a Nairobi court after stabbing his father 18 times.
Michael Owino Jr, a student at the Kenya Flying School at the Wilson Airport Nairobi stabbed his father DR Michael Owino Sr 18 times at their home in South C after the father demanded to know why he had not sat for examinations April 17, 2016.
Initially after arrest, he was taken for medical tests to ascertain if he was in good shape before being taken to trial.
His case was brought to first mention at the Milimani Law Courts Friday.
The results will be known later and presented to the court when the case comes up for mention on June 8.
Dr Michael Omolo who was a doctor at the Aga Khan Hospital succumbed to his injuries two days later.
