Kisiis In Nakuru Receive Threats For Supporting CORD

A section of members of the Kisii community living in Nakuru County are fearing for their lives after receiving threats from people they claim to be Jubilee supporters.

The eight people claimed that they received threats for openly showing their allegiance to CORD leader Raila Odinga and the CORD coalition.

Led by Sospeter Tomato and DR Isoe Ochoki, they called on the police to investigate the claims and provide them with adequate security saying that they cannot take the threats lightly.

“They have told us that we have been marked for elimination and we cannot take this lightly because this is Kenya and nothing is impossible especially at this time when the country is preparing for general elections,” said Tomato.

They argued that political affiliation and association is a personal freedom and therefore they cannot be forced to support jubilee against their wish.

“It is our choice to associate with Cord and support its leader and our friends should respect that just as we respect their choice to support Jubilee.. we all belong to Nakuru county,” said Ochoki.
