Body Of Dutchman Killed In Kenya Found In Septic Tank

The body of a Dutchman who has been missing for the last five months in Kenya has been found decomposing in a septic tank.

Jacobus Van Der Goes’ body was found stashed in a mattress and hidden in the tank Tuesday by investigators at his home in the Coastal city of Mombasa.

The Star reported that the man who held a Kenyan passport, was hacked to death before he was dumped in the tank just behind his house. The murder weapons among them a clobber and hammer were also recovered from the tank.

Police are holding three suspects who it is believed hold the clues to his murder, among them the gardener who had earlier been arrested for being in possession of the deceased’s ATM cards and other personal effects.

Two weeks, there were reports of another foreign national killed in Kenya during a robbery attempt.

The foreigner was reportedly with a Kenyan counterpart when the robbers attacked. The Kenyan friend is said to have taken off, as the thieves tried to snatch a backpack from the foreign man, according to Tuko.

As he was resisting the robbery attempt, the thieves shot him on the head and twice on the chest, before escaping aboard a boda boda.

Incidences of violent crime are on the increase in Kenya, with the Daily Nationreporting that in 2015, there were more incidences of crimes taking place that were fatal in the country.
