Kisii leaders have promised President Uhuru Kenyatta that they will vote for the Jubilee Coalition come the 2017 elections.
Led by Nyamira Governor Governor John Nyangarama, the leaders held talks with the President and DP Wednesday and promised to mobilize support for their re-election come 2017.
The leaders who are seeking an apparent move from the opposition CORD coalition stated that the continued development of the country by the Jubilee Coalition was encouraging and that it would ensure votes galore come the 2017 polls.
” The talks were fruitful,” an MP who attended the meeting but did not want to be named told News24.
” The President and DP have stated their stand. They want Kisii votes,” the MP added.
The move is part of a charm offensive by the President and DP on CORD strongholds as they look forward to the 2017 polls.
So far Luhya, Kisii, Kamba and Coastal leaders have been wooed as the President eyes a clear win come the elections next year.
