CORD leader Raila Odinga has said that he is ready to step down and back someone else in the 2017 Presidential election.
Raila, who is the official opposition leader, has unsuccessfully tried his bid for the House on the Hill thrice before.
In an interview with Standard, the opposition chief said he would back another candidate who proved to be better placed to remove Jubilee from power in the upcoming election.
Last month, CORD named a five-member team to choose the 2017 Presidential candidate.
When quizzed about it, James Orengo who is among the five stated that they are working towards a common cause.
“We are all looking to have one common candidate who can unite us and unite the country under the CORD Coalition. That is the aim and we will seek to get the best possible candidate,” he said.
