A CORD MP says that Raila Odinga is finished politically.
Peter Shehe, MP for Ganze says that he is jumping to the Jubilee Coalition because he feels that Raila and CORD have nothing to offer Kenyans.
According to Shehe, Raila must take a back seat in politics and allow younger and more focused leaders to help the country move forward.
He adds that Raila’s leadership has led to divisions among Kenyans, which cannot be allowed to continue.
” We need fresh leadership in Kenya. We need new ideas. That is all that we need to progress and those cannot come from Raila,” he told News24.
He states that he and other coastal leaders that have decided to join the Jubilee are doing so because they have accepted that the region will not progress when still supporting CORD.
” We made a decision that was unpopular to some but is for the betterment of the people at the Coast,” he added.
The 6 including Shehe have claimed that they are confident that they will keep their seats come the 2017 election despite being in Jubilee.
