Dictatorship is the reason CORD leader Raila Odinga is struggling, an MP allied to the opposition coalition says.

Kanduyi MP Wafula Wamunyinyi says that Raila must learn to accept that not at all times are his word final.

He says that in choosing Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya to be the ODM candidate for the 2017 polls instead of giving Senator Bonny Khalwale a chance to contest, he had failed the coalition.

Khalwale has been endorsed by FORD Kenya to run for the seat come 2017 but it remains to be seen if he will compete with Oparanya or CORD will choose one of the two.

Wamunyinyi supports Khalwale.

“I ask that the CORD chief (Raila Odinga) leave the election matters to the people on the ground to decide. By choosing candidates for the people he loses credibility,” he stated.

Oparanya has already been backed by ODM for the seat.

Khalwale, he says is the most popular man on the ground.

“Khalwale will prove that he is the most popular in Kakamega and not those who think they are,” he continued.

The race in Kakamega is expected to be one of the most highly contested of the 2017 polls.
