President Uhuru Kenyatta has politely declined to meet the Kenya Sevens team to address other pending matters.
The sevens team was to meet the President at State House Wednesday afternoon after their arrival from Singapore where they were victorious in the recent HSBC Sevens leg in the far east.
The head of state though was in Naivasha to take charge of the Cabinet retreat.
” The boys were told that the President was busy attending to other matters and would see them a different time,” the Kenya Rugby Union said.
State House chiefs also stated that the President had to be in Naivasha to close the cabinet meeting.
” The President is in Naivasha for the day,” a source at State House said.
The President was expected to receive the Sevens Team at the Jomo Kenyatta international airport Tuesday but was also said to be unavailable.
