Police in Nyamira County have begun investigations into an incident in which a man and his wife were burnt to death by unknown people early Sunday in Mobamba village.
According to area OCPD Rico Ngare, the victims Geke Okeri and his wife Milka Okeri were forced to consume Sulphuric Acid by the attackers before being set ablaze.
“Preliminary investigations show that this might have been caused by a family row,” said the OCPD.
Apart from killing their victims, the attackers are also alleged to have destroyed property worth thousands of shillings in the homestead.
The attack comes fast in the heels of another one that occurred a month ago, whereby 3 people were burnt to death in their homes by unknown people in Nyamusi, Nyamira County.
