Kenya: Jubilee MP Ferdinand Waititu Refused To Attend CORD Leader Raila Lunch Party

Ferdinand Waititu said  he declined to attend the lunch ceremony invited by CORD leader Raila Odinga.

Waititu says that he did not trust the CORD leadership, which is why he did not attend the lunch.

The lunch, held at Kosewe restaurant in the Nairobi CBD was attended by fellow Jubilee leaders Moses Kuria and Kimani Ngunjiri but Waititu declined the offer.

” I did not attend because I do not trust them,” he said.

Waititu insists that he has no bad blood with the CORD leaders but that he does not wish to dine with them.

” Let us just say that I have reasons that stopped me from attending the lunch ceremony but they have nothing to do with hate. I am fine with them and they know it,” he added.

Waititu was among 8 legislators who were arrested last week over hate speech allegations.
