Kenya: Chief Stabs Form Four Girl, Accuses Her Of Stealing Husband

A Form Four student in Bungoma is nursing serious knife stabs after an assistant chief in the area attacked her with a kitchen knife.

According to the victim’s mother, the chief stormed their home on Sunday morning and asked about the whereabouts of the girl.

“She came in the morning while she was still in bed and told me to call her. Immediately she came out, she stabbed her,” the mother said.

The mother said the suspect accused the Form Four girl of having an illicit affair with her husband.

“She said that my girl has philanderd with her husband but I don’t know because she is a school girl,” the mother added.

Bungoma Governor Ken Lusaka condemned the incident.

“The chief should not have done such a thing. The fact that she is a leader ought to have made her handle the issue well despite provocation,” Lusaka said.
