The Jubilee coalition has invited CORD leader, Raila Odinga to deputy president William Ruto’s thanksgiving prayer rally to be held on April 16 at the Afraha stadium in Nakuru County.
Nakuru east MP, David Gikaria who is organizing the rally said that the President and his deputy have invited all Kenyan leaders including CORD leader Raila Odinga to attend the rally.
He said Odinga’s attendance will be of great significance because it will be a show of national unity and will help in the national healing process.
“Raila has been invited to attend the rally at Afraha as a sign of national unity and we want him to come and show that he is happy that the DP is free,” said Gikaria.
“All along, he has been saying that he wants the DP to be set free and he should come we celebrate together now that that prayer has been answered,” he added.
Gikaria said that over 300 members of parliament and senators have confirmed their attendance for the rally.
