The Chief Justice Willy Mutunga has declared that he is worth KES 80 million in property and cash.
Through his twitter handle, the CJ revealed that between 2012 to 2015, he earned a gross salary of KES 71 million of which KES 21 million went to tax, leaving him with a disposable pay of KES 50 million.
His assets include two apartments worth KES 12.5 million and KES 19.1 million, a piece of land in Kitui County worth KES 2.1 million, a saloon car valued at KES 750,000 and another one owned by his spouse worth KES 650,000.
This declaration of wealth is in line with a letter he wrote to the anti graft body early this year asking for a lifestyle audit on all top Judiciary officials, Citizen Digitalreports.
