Hugh Masekela To Play Live In Nairobi

The Safaricom Jazz Festival is set to welcome one of the few remaining Jazz artists from the golden age of African music and Afrobeat, Hugh Masekela this Friday the 12th August 2016 at the Uhuru Gardens on Langata road  in Nairobi.

Hugh is considered one of the founders of modern day Afro Jazz alongside legends like Fela Anikulapo Kuti and son Femi Kuti. His coming to Nairobi shines a spotlight on the ever growing jazz music scene, which has hosted many a legend including Jonathan Butler, Jimmy Dludlu, Salif Keita and most recently Branford Marsalis among many others.

Hugh will be joined on stage by Mwai and the Truth as well as the Nairobi Horns Project. Tickets are going for 2000ksh (regular) and 500ksh (Students with school ID’s).
