Ghanian Top Celebrities Turn Waiters And Waitress For Charity

In a bid to raise funds for charity through tips, Ghanaian Actress Luckie Lawson and her celebrity friends on Saturday served as waitresses and waiters at her Mangoes Restaurant at East Legon, Accra.

Among the top celebrities who took part in the event were Prince David Osei, Lydia Forson, Kweku Elliot, Emelia Brobbey, Fiifi Coleman, Gloria Sarfo, James Gardiner, Eddie Nartey, Yaa Yaa, Akosua Kekeli and many others.

The activity was put together by Luckie Lawson, and it was also part of her birthday celebration.

The mother of two last week Wednesday added another year and instead of partying with her friends, she rather decided to gather her friends to serve at her restaurant and raise tips to give to charity.

It was a beautiful scene watching the celebrities manoeuvre to get more tips from customers who came through to buy food at the restaurant. They put their celebrity status aside and served customers to the best of their ability.

“Today, I’m humbled and I am going to be a very polite waitress. It’s a humbling experience,” Lydia Forson stated minutes before she started taking orders.

Actress Emelia Brobbey was the first to get the highest tip when the activity started, but she was overtaken by Vicky Zugah, who had customers giving her dollars, becoming the winner for ‘who wins more tips’.

Tips which celebrities got on the day will be used for a charity project.
