Ghana: I’m Was Not Obliged to Attend Willi Roi’s Funeral Service – Rapper, Stonebwoy

It not a new thing that Dancehall artist, Stonebwoy and the late head of Zylofon Arts Club, Willi Roi, were not friends even though they were with the same firm.

Before the passing of Willi Roi about two weeks ago, he had on several platforms referred to the Baafira singer as arrogant and disrespectful while Stonebwoy had, on the other hand, accused Willi Roi of hating him for no reason because he did not open up his business to him like his other label mates.

Death they say ends disputes so it had been expected that with Willi Roi gone, whatever issue there was between him and Stonebwoy was over.

There has been speculation as well that Stonebwoy would attend his funeral but at the launch of his Independence Day Concert at the Labadi Beach Hotel recently, it was not certain he would.

According to Stonebwoy, he did not have any relationship with Willi Roi, so he was not mandated to attend his funeral or anything related to that.

“If the time his burial service is announced, and I am not busy or I have nothing on my table, why not, I will go but if I am, I’m sorry.”

Reacting to claims that he may have something to do with his Willi Roi’s death as had been speculated on social media, the Hero singer said, “it is okay for people to think or say that but that that is their opinion. Like I stated earlier, I never had any relationship with the man, so I am not really bothered.”

Willi Roi reportedly died on Sunday, February 10, in his apartment at the Royal Richester Hotel, which housed the Zylofon Arts Complex, at East Legon in Accra.

His lifeless body was found by security personnel who were on a routine check of apartments.
