The Yaa Asantewa-UNDP awards celebrates filmmakers that go deep and tell stories that resonate to promote global good and to ensure that the sustainable development goals (SDGs) become a reality for all. Black Star International film festival is excited to introduce 6 awards categories for the year. Each award has a value of 3000$; with the goal of empowering the winning filmmaker to start a new project that promotes the SDGs. We use this opportunity to say thank you to all our sponsors for making this possible, especially the UNDP for reaffirming the importance of film in impacting National development by using film to promote the SDGs.
