Five People Injured As Kenya Military Ambulance Collides With Matatu On Waiyaki Way

Nairobi: A military ambulance Monday morning collided with a matatu along Waiyaki Way near Kabete Police Station injuring five people.

The patient that the ambulance was carrying was rescued and rushed to hospital. Police say the ambulance was overtaking other vehicles when the accident occurred. Also injured was the driver of the matatu and other passengers.

Witnesses claimed the driver of the ambulance had not switched on his siren. Others said the matatu driver was driving recklessly at the time of the incident leading to the clash. Those trapped in the matatu were rescued by locals and police.
