EFCC

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested the Director of Finance of the Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation, Nenadi Usman.

She was arrested on Thursday for allegedly receiving N2.5bn from the Central Bank of Nigeria and paying same into the accounts of six chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Goodluck Support Group (GSG).

The former Finance Minister had been on the radar of the EFCC for several weeks but she travelled out of the country on March 13, 2016 thereby stalling investigations.

The anti-graft agency revealed that N4bn was transferred from the account of the CBN into a mysterious account known as the Ministry of External Affairs Library.

The details of how the funds were disbursed are: Fani-Kayode (N840million); Goodluck Support Group (N320million); Achike Udenwa and Viola Onwuliri (N350million); Nenadi Usman (N140million); and Okey Ezenwa (N100million).
