Nakuru County Governor, Kinuthia Mbugua has told President Uhuru Kenyatta not to be fooled by CORD leader Raila Odinga into sneaking him back into government.
Mbugua said that Raila is using the anti-IEBC war to sneak his way back into the government.
He told Raila to forget and stop dreaming about the prime minister’s position which he claimed Raila was looking for through the anti-IEBC war.
Mbugua claimed that Raila is planning and targeting to use the dialogue he has been calling for to push for the creation of a prime minister’s position.
Speaking Tuesday morning in Nakuru town, Mbugua called on President Uhuru Kenyatta not to fall into Raila’s political traps or be fooled by him.
“Raila … will do anything to get what he wants and what he is trying to do is find a way back into government but we want to call on the President to be firm and not to fall for his traps,” said Mbugua.
“We know he wants the Prime Minister’s position back but we want to tell him that Jubilee will not allow that to happen. He should remain in the opposition and be satisfied with his current position as the leader of the government in waiting,” he said.
Mbuga said that Jubilee is privy to Raila’s cunning tactics and will not give him space to achieve his selfish personal political egos.
“He thinks that Jubilee is an easy target but we want to tell him that we are more than prepared to face him and counter his cunning tactics,” he said.
Mbugua further called on President Kenyatta not to be moved because he has enough lieutenants to defend him and his government.
“The President should not be moved or shaken because we are here to defend him and his government and the people of Kenya are ready to defend the government they elected,” he said.
