CORD To Hold Anti-IEBC Demo’s In Nairobi Next Monday And Thursday

Nairobi residents will once again be treated to another round street battles between the police and rowdy youth next Monday.

This is after the opposition Cord coalition Friday wrote to the police seeking permission to hold yet two other peaceful demonstrations against the electoral body next week, on Monday and Thursday.

Norman Magaya the coalition’s CEO in a letter sent to Nairobi County Police Commander and copied to the Inspector General and OCPD Central Police station appealed for police officers to provide security during the peaceful demo’s.

“Your cooperation towards making the peaceful demonstration a success will highly be appreciated,” concludes the letter, which was copied to newsrooms.
