After being expected to be a part of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s tour to Ukambani, CORD Co principal Kalonzo Musyoka has opted out, saying he was not invited.
Every indication was that Kalonzo would be there for the three day tour to the region where he is the undisputed tribal political chief after holding talks with the President as reported earlier by News24.
However, it seems that there was no agreement over what was spoken about and Kalonzo will not be there for the tour.
” I was not invited,” he simply said Friday when contacted as to why he was missing.
The move will thus further deepen hostilities between the ruling coalition and the opposition, which has been eroded badly by the ongoing impasse over the IEBC.
Despite forming a committee to oversee dialogue Thursday, President Uhuru Kenyatta’s pleas will fall on deaf ears as CORD plan protests Monday and Thursday over the matter.
Kalonzo will be there for the protests, he stated.
