Abuja – Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has actually declared that the anxiety presently being experienced by the motion of Fulani herdsmen exceeds plain grazing.
According to a Naij report, Ortom claims that Fulani herdsmen do not have innocent intentions of grazing, but instead enter spaces to steal, kill and destroy.
Making his sentiments while hosting governors from the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ortom stated that no less than 12 LGAs have been attacked by herdsmen who have reduced several communities to rubble and little else.
The Benue Governor has since claimed that his state has no land to give up for grazing, while commending President Muhammadu Buhari on his swift deployment of military personnel to areas affected by attacks.
In addition, Ortom lamented the lack of arrests being made in connection with the attacks in Benue State, while campaigning for the setting up of ranches around the country, Vanguard reports.
